About George
Originally from Sibiu, Romania, I am now based in Indiana, USA. I received my M.A. Ph.D. in History from Indiana University Bloomington in 2020 and 2024, respectively. My dissertation examined the economic, environmental, and social dimensions of forestry science, the forest products industry, and national development schemes in Romania.
I am devoted to student success and equity inside and outside of the classroom. I also strive to expand the perspectives and voices available to teachers, instructors, and professionals in teaching the history of Europe and the histories of science, technology, and the environment. To this end, I am creating and launching a database of primary source materials that educators and students may access for free on my website, which will include the perspectives of rural peoples, those from marginalized backgrounds, and those working within institutions that do not come from elite backgrounds.
